A compliment to the Service Cloud and great for any company with field techs, Salesforce has launched a new Field Service application using the new Lightning interface, and it looks quite impressive. We were excited about the new Work Orders object that came with its Winter ’16 release, but this blows that out of the water.
The mobile-friendly user interface built on the Salesforce Force.com platform allows for seamless appointment scheduling and dispatching based on skill level and location. It includes a drag and drop, dynamic scheduling board that gives dispatchers and supervisors a bird’s-eye view of all scheduled service appointments:
