TNT Sales Turns Speed to Quote Into the Edge, with BlackIron

How We Helped TNT

TNT is North America’s largest open-deck trailer dealership, ranked #1 or #2 for three major brands, and one of the few dealers anywhere carrying twelve brands under one roof, Fontaine, Wabash, Trail King, and Dorsey among them, with hundreds of new and used trailers in stock and their own delivery fleet to back it up. At that scale, speed to quote isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the difference between winning a deal and losing it to whoever answered first. We built Salesforce CPQ around that reality. Inventory got split into two pools, Lot Inventory for what’s physically sitting at one of TNT’s locations right now, and Quotable Product for trailers they don’t have on hand but can build exactly to spec and quote just as fast. A rep isn’t limited to what’s on the lot, they can say yes to a custom build as quickly as they can say yes to something sitting in the yard. Then we used Conga Composer to turn that quote into a document that looks like it came out of a real marketing team, itemized pricing, trade-in values, photos of the actual unit, a spec sheet attached, out the door in minutes. CDK sales orders sync back into Salesforce on their own too, so a closed deal doesn’t sit around waiting to be re-keyed somewhere else.

How We Can Help You

Most dealerships treat quoting as whatever a rep can manage by hand, and most CPQ tools only know how to quote what’s already on the lot. We can build the same split TNT runs, real inventory and buildable inventory both quoted just as fast, backed by a document that looks like it came out of a design team instead of a fillable PDF. CDK isn’t an easy system to build against, but that’s exactly why it’s worth having someone who’s already done it, so the sync work disappears into the background and the only thing your team notices is how fast the quote goes out.

Why It Matters

The dealership that gets an accurate quote in front of a customer first usually wins the deal. TNT can say yes to inventory they don’t physically have as fast as inventory they do, with a document that makes the answer look as good as the price. That’s the kind of edge that compounds every day, not just on the big deals.

Kenworth NE Sends Reps to the Right Doors, with BlackIron

Kenworth NE, an independently owned truck dealership with roots in Buffalo, New York now reaching into Massachusetts and Rhode Island, needed its sales team working from real data in the field, not guesswork back at a desk. BlackIron Group built Salesforce around Karmak, Kenworth NE’s DMS, and centered the whole experience on Salesforce Maps, giving reps a tool they could carry into the field to log calls by voice, snap photos on site, and see which accounts had gone quiet. Account records carried real Karmak purchase and service history, leads got logged with enough detail to show which sources actually produced sales, and KPIs built on real field activity became something managers and reps both trusted. The result: a sales process that runs the same way for every rep, grounded in Karmak data that used to sit unused in the DMS.

Trans Chicago Gets Procede Data Into Reps’ Hands, with BlackIron

Trans Chicago Truck Group, an Elite Support Certified Freightliner, Western Star, and Isuzu dealer across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, was running its sales team on spreadsheets with no CRM built to match the size of the dealership. BlackIron Group built Salesforce around Trans Chicago’s full sales process and connected it directly to Procede, syncing accounts, repair orders, parts orders, sales orders, and inventory on a schedule so reps see live DMS data without leaving the CRM. A custom Add-On configurator and trade-in tool let reps price a full deal, and Conga Composer turns that into a finished quote, bill of sale, and spec sheet in the time it used to take to find the right numbers. The result: Trans Chicago’s leadership now sees accounts worth up to $49 million in lifetime truck purchases on one dashboard, built on data that used to live only in Procede.
